If we want to frame the painting, we can, of course, come to the framing workshop with the picture. The master himself will do everything that is needed, but such an opportunity is not always available. Many people have to deal with framing paintings on their own. And it’s better to stick to a certain order:
1. Prepare the canvas. canvas

2. Purchase or make your own inner picture frame.

3. Fix the canvas to the inner picture frame with a stapler.

4. Keep a good canvas tension without waves and creases.

5. Measure the result obtained. Add 1 / 2-1 inch of clearance to your measurements to create a shadow gap between the canvas and the frame, giving the impression that the canvas is floating inside the frame. Measure the depth of your canvas.

6. Make or purchase a floating canvas frame. The floating frame color is most often chosen half a tone darker or half a tone lighter than the main color of the painting. Thus, a light floating frame is best suited to light pictures, and a dark one – to dark ones. But exceptions are not uncommon. A high contrast floating frame can create an interesting accent. It is important to combine the color scheme of the painting and the floating frame

Avoid places with high humidity and high temperature fluctuations, as well as in direct sunlight or in the kitchen. This will help keep your painting intact – the paint on it will not crack or lose brightness.
